Local buses

Sajha Yatayat operates a public bus service between Kathmandu Airport and downtown.

They are really easy to identify given their green colour. Total trip time to Kathmandu is around 20-30 minutes.

Buses are located just outside the terminal building.

Last bus departs from Kathmandu Airport at 18:00h.

Please note that buses run infrequently and tend to be very crowded, think twice before boarding one in case of carrying luggage.

One-way ticket is 20 rupees.

Payment is only allowed in cash.

Some hotels in the area provide shuttle service to and from Kathmandu Airport.
