Kathmandu Airport Taxi

Get within 10 to 15 minutes to Kathmandu city centre by taxi from KTM Airport. 

Location

Taxis are immediately located outside Arrivals.

Please note that it is possible to pay your trip in advance at the counter right outside Arrivals, since prepaid taxis are available as well as metered taxis.

We recommend to negotiate fares with the driver if taking a metered taxi, as there aren’t fixed rates.

Fares

The cost of a one-way ride by a metered taxi to anywhere in Central Kathmandu is around 400 rupees (about $4) and maximum fare is 600 rupees.

By a prepaid taxi, costs begin at 550 rupees and up to 1,000 rupees if you decide to travel to other areas such as Thamel.
